Vijaya Heart Foundation was formed as an extension of Vijaya Health Centre in 1996 with 100 inpatient beds. The secondary and tertiary cardiac services both in India and abroad have been marked by rapid expansion and escalating costs. To address this the VIJAYA HEART FOUNDATION has been created to make basic and advanced cardiac care affordable and available round the clock. This was started to keep in pace with the growing demand for highly sophisticated "State of Art" Cardiology and Cardiothoracic surgical services.

Sri. B. Nagi Reddy, founder of the Vijaya Hospital and Vijaya Health Centre has totally dedicated all his resources to establish the Vijaya Heart Foundation. Under his guidance the socially conscious management is committed to the growth of Vijaya Heart Foundation. The main aim of the founder was to render high-class service at affordable cost. The cost outlay of the project was 12 crores and the main motive of this project was to cut down the growing cost of secondary and tertiary cardiac services to the patient. Being a non-profit making organization the dream of the founder is being fulfilled by a team of like minded, experienced and high qualified doctors have been selected to plan, organise and deliver cost effective care. The non profit making nature of the trust makes it possible to develop "State of Art" cardiac care center fully utilising existing vast infrastructural facilities.
