The pharmacies at Vijaya Hospital and Vijaya Health Centre provide essential support to ensure that medicines are adequately stocked and dispensed with utmost speed and efficiency.
The Accident and Emergency department is open 24x7, 365 days a year providing 24 hrs ambulance services for patients. The Department has an Advanced life support vehicle (ALS) and Basic life support vehicle(BLS). The ALS vehicle is fully equipped with emergency drugs, monitors and ventilators, defibrillators, nebulisers. The BLS vehicle is equipped with emergency drugs and monitors which is used to transport stable patients.
The treatment of critically ill or injured patients will begin at the spot in our ambulance by our trained emergency physicians and nursing paramedics. All ambulances have mobile phone communication system, the paramedics will be in touch with the Emergency Department and the details of the patient condition are passed to the qualified Emergency team waiting in the Emergency room.
Trauma and medical emergency cases are attended to by a team of trained and professionally skilled staff. Patients with life threatening emergencies are resuscitated and stabilised by a team of emergency physicians.
The Dept is also supported by a 24 hr blood bank service, diagnostic imaging services like CT Scan and a fully equipped emergency operation theatre.
The Dept is equipped with a total of 15 beds: 6 in Vijaya Hospital, 6 in Vijaya Health Centre and 4 in VITO.
Vijaya Hospital – Blood Bank forms an important part of Vijaya Group of Hospitals. It is one of a kind which has a licence to prepare blood components and blood products. It caters to the need of all its patients, donors and also other hospitals . It also provides extra screening facilities for Hepatitis C Virus apart from mandatory screening
